The Zoleo has become one of the best options available for 2-way satellite messengers. The Zoleo offers three unique features over most competitors:
- Seamless messaging.
- You can text/email within the Zoleo app. If your phone detects a mobile network, it will automatically switch over to the mobile network to avoid using your allocated messages budget. This helps lower your additional cost and makes it easier to communicate in the one message thread.
- All plans are flexible.
- Once you’ve activated the device and subscribed for the first three months, you can cancel or move up/down any plan at any time.
- It displays on the device confirmation that the message was sent or that it failed.
- Not all of the satellite communicators actually give you confirmation that the message was sent correctly. The Zoleo Satellite Communicator blinks green when sending the message, and if it fails will blink orange to let you know something went wrong. There is also an audible tone alert.

When you’re beyond mobile coverage your ZOLEO device connects with our free app on your phone so you can send/receive messages anywhere on the planet via the Iridium satellite network.
When you're within mobile coverage, uniquely the ZOLEO app seamlessly delivers messages over cellular and Wi-Fi. You'll always get the message, even if the ZOLEO satellite communicator is turned off!

How does Location Share+ work?
Location Share+ enables you to automatically share your location with up to five (5) check-in contacts, on a selectable interval from every 6 minutes to 4 hours. You and your check-in recipients will be able to use the free ZOLEO app to view the most recently reported location and breadcrumb trail on a map (provided by Mapbox Outdoors). It’s important to note that your check-in recipients must have the ZOLEO app installed to view location updates. Once you've added the feature, you can start/stop location sharing any time and download maps for use offline. Location Share+ is a low-cost optional add-on that can be added to any monthly plan and includes unlimited Location Share+ location updates and check-in messages!

ZOLEO Service Terms
- A $40 AUD activation fee applies when activating your ZOLEO device.
- Plans can be changed online any time, and suspended or cancelled any time after the initial 3-month term; monthly fees and allotments will be prorated accordingly.
- Plans auto-renew month-to-month until suspended or cancelled; no credits for cancellations or suspensions within the first 3 months.
- Dedicated ZOLEO SMS number and email address: Australian and New Zealand customers will receive a ZOLEO email address and Australian mobile number when activating service. This number and email is yours for as long as you have an active or suspended continuous service.
- Suspend your plan when not in use for just $3.95 AUD/month. While suspended, your device will not transmit messages (including SOS). Unsuspend online any time with no activation fee. Suspensions are limited to once per monthly bill cycle.
- Location Share+ is an optional add-on subscription that includes unlimited location share messages. It can be added or cancelled at any time, no proration is applied.
- Optional one-time top-up bundles can be added when required and expire at the end of the monthly billing period. Learn more.
- SOS & Check-in messages are free on all active plans.
- Mobile messages consume data similar to other messaging applications on your smart phone.
- A Fair Use Policy applies to all Unlimited monthly plans. ZOLEO reserves the right to limit your usage or suspend your service if your actual monthly usage greatly exceeds average customer usage. - ZOLEO currently accepts selected credit, debit and other payment types with billing addresses from the following countries: Canada, the United States and its territories, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and countries in the European Economic Area (EEA). Additional countries will be added over time.
