SPOT X 2-Way Satellite Messenger
SPOT X provides 2-way satellite messaging so you can stay connected to family, friends and colleagues whenever you're outside of cellular range, including direct communication with Search & Rescue services in case of life-threatening emergency. SPOT X even provides you with your own personal mobile U.S. number so others can message you directly from their cell phone or other SMS devices at any time.
SPOT devices require an active service subscription to properly perform. All subscriptions auto-renew at the end of the contract term.

Important SPOT X Tips
- SPOT X needs a clear view of the sky with no obstructions
- SPOT X is not reliable at the bottom of a deep canyon, in a cave, in an abyss, or in very dense woods.
- Before heading off the grid, we strongly recommend that you send a test message to ensure your device was activated properly. You can view your sent messages in your account at FindMeSPOT.com/MyAccount.

Regardless of how far off the grid you go for work or pleasure, SPOT X allows you to select from a variety of Service Plans to best suit your travel and adventures.
SPOT X offers two different service subscription options. Choose either a monthly Flex Plan or annual contract plan. Flex Plans are best for seasonal use and only require a one-month subscription. Annual plans are perfect for get-up-and-go year 'round use with an added benefit of monthly payment. Annual contract plans also have the option for you to pay upfront and get all allotted messages in advance.

The SPOT X device requires an active service subscription to properly perform 2-way satellite messaging, tracking, SOS capabilities and all other device functions. All subscriptions auto-renew at the end of the contract term.
*Enrollment in any Flex Plan is subject to an Annual Flex Charge that is payable upon activation and then each year at renewal, even if the device is suspended at that time. This Flex Charge allows you to suspend the service at any time during the year without activation fee recurrence when turning service on again. All Flex Plans have a one month minimum term.
All Annual Contract Plans are 12 month terms with the option of monthly payments or one annual upfront payment. Those customers who prefer to make an upfront payment will get the added benefit of receiving allotted plan messages in advance for use as frequently as they would like throughout the year. Those customers who prefer to make monthly payments on the annual plan should note that unused messages will not roll over to the next month. All plans are subject to a one-time activation fee. No charge applies to changing to a more inclusive annual plan; a $25.00 USD (Inc. GST) fee applies to changing to a less inclusive annual plan. Early termination of the service agreement will require a customer to pay an Early Termination Fee to the amount of 100% of the outstanding balance of the contract, plus the full amount of any credits issued during the Term (including promotions).

Success rates are forecasts for a SPOT messenger to successfully deliver a single message during a 20-minute period, based on network availability. Additionally, in everyday conditions it is normal for some messages to be blocked by your environment, such as hills or buildings. That 's why the SPOT Messenger is scheduled to automatically send multiple messages in every mode – giving you excellent overall reliability.
